From 19 November to 14 December, Galleria Russo will host the exhibition Fausto Pirandello. Works from 1923 to 1972, an exceptional retrospective dedicated to one of the main protagonists of the Italian painting of the Twentieth century.
The exhibition offers an extraordinary journey in the artistic production of Pirandello, the intense works of the '20s are characterized by a rich chromatic plasticity, from the rough bodies of the bathers, to the landscapes of the countryside parched by the sun and the vibrant views of the rooftops of Rome made with a rough material and the sumptuous still lives.
More than eighty oil paintings and pastels retrace almost the entire activity of the artist (Pirandello died 1975), in an exhibition that allows us to reconstruct the painter's complex relationship with reality, pervaded with a sense of anxiety, of waiting, of astonishment and alienation.
