Raphaël Scorbiac

Biography

Raphaël Scorbiac, was born in Paris in 1971.

In 1993 he graduated from the École des Beaux Arts of Paris and a year later began working on the restoration of sculptures of the Cathedral of Notre Dame of Paris.

In May 1995 he won de sculpture prize of La Celle Saint Cloud and between 1996 and the summer of 1999 he worked between Paris and Berlin, participating in various solo shows as well as group exhibitions at the galleries Annick Goutal and Andre von Stumn.

In 1999 he spent a sojourn in New York where he taught sculpture at Columbia University.

Back in France in 2001 he began to collaborate and exhibit in several galleries in Paris, London, Hong Kong and Singapore.

During the year 2004 he lived and worked in the countryside of Berry, continuing to exhibit in Paris (Grand Palais, 2007).

From 2006 he collaborates with the Dutko gallery of Paris, participating every year in BRAFA Brussels.

From 2016 he begins to collaborate with Galleria Russo of Rome and Istanbul.

He lives and works in Marseille.
