Enrico Benetta

Benetta graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in decoration in 2001. He began his artistic journey through Contemporary art. He began his Master's degree in Communications at INAREA in 2002. He participated in the Identity and Design Network in Rome, an experience that translates to a concrete artistic-professional collaboration. Benetta's work is characterized by a language that moves on different stylistic registers, admirably rendered by the strong personality of the artist, full of desire to communicate, in which cultural sources distant to each other blend together. His work is aimed at a wide and diverse audience, where each, according to the individual artistic, literary, and emotional sensitivity, can enjoy the fruition of the work. His trademark, both in paintings and installations, is the typeface per excellence. Bodoni became the artist’s signature style, the basis for the creation of an original and random visual storyline. A letter to Benetta is not the primary element of the word, but must be contemplated in itself, as his works constitute thought itself. The letters fall, creating new stories, new adventures that the viewer’s imagination re-elaborates and concludes, giving new meaning each time. For example, cor-ten steel, a natural material used for the sculptures, transmits the viewer to a past that evokes the full charm of the large volumes of history. His first solo Incanto in 2007 following the installation Sit Up Biennale of Venice in 2009 and a personal exhibition with Galleria Russo: Levitas. He is also featured in the following exhibitions.
