Roberto Floreani


Born in Venice in 1956 he travels around Europe during the second half of the Seventies. Between 1977 and 1979 he visits the Centre Pompidou and attends the Great triad of shows Paris-Berlin, Moscow, New York, which would further have a great influence in his artistic successes. In 1980 he graduates from the University of Studies of Padua and lives in New York. From the beginning of the Nineties his research acquires the connotation of the ideal contact point between a strong European culture and a philosophy of the body connected to the East. In 1997 he has his first anthological exhibition at the Carraresi House in Treviso, curated by Marco Goldin and Beatrice Buscaroli. In 2005 he participates in the Quadrienniale of Rome within the section “Out of Subject”. In 2009 he is invited by curators Luca Beatrice and Beatrice Buscaroli to participate in the 53rd edition of the Venice Biennale with a solo exhibition at the Italian Pavilion. He currently lives and works in Vicenza.
